Apollo Shareholders

The Apollo cable system was completed in 2003. During the planning, design, construction and commissioning of the system, Cable & Wireless’ unrivalled knowledge of submarine cable technology and Alcatel-Lucent’s leading edge transoceanic repeater technology were brought together to create the world's most advanced transatlantic cable system.

Today the Apollo Cable System is owned, operated and managed by Apollo Submarine Cable System Ltd, a joint venture company. The shareholders within the joint venture are Cable & Wireless, www.cw.com, and Alcatel-Lucent, www.alcatel-lucent.com.
